Home » Founder Spotlight: How Angela Hill is Expanding Therapy for Moms into the Rockies
For Angela Hill, founder of Therapy for Moms, the decision to grow her practice from Houston into the mountains of Colorado was not a sudden pivot but a path that unfolded with ease.
“It wasn’t one big moment,” she reflects. “It felt more like listening—listening to my clients, to my family, and to what was calling me forward.”
Angela’s career began in clinical social work, with years of experience in medical and perinatal settings before launching her own private practice. What started as a heartfelt mission to support women through fertility, pregnancy, postpartum, and parenting in Houston has grown into a thriving community of care.
A Natural Evolution
Like many founders who stumble upon their truest work, Angela didn’t set out to build an expansive brand. “I never imagined I’d be scaling into multiple cities,” she says. “But when something feels organic and aligned, you follow it.”
That “something” was Colorado. After spending more time in the mountain communities, Angela recognized a deep resonance: resilience, family, and a need for accessible maternal mental health care. It was less a business decision than an invitation.
“It just made sense,” she explains. “The mothers I meet in Colorado are navigating the same universal challenges of identity, balance, and belonging, but with the unique pressures of mountain living. The move felt like a natural extension of our mission.”
Building with Intention
Since its founding, Therapy for Moms has blended clinical expertise with warmth, empathy, and authenticity. The expansion into Colorado is no exception. With both in-person offices and virtual offerings, the practice is positioned to serve women and families in multiple communities, while staying rooted in its founding values.
For Angela, growth has never been about scale for its own sake. “I’m not interested in chasing numbers. I care about building spaces where women feel deeply understood, supported, and equipped with tools that matter.”
A Community-Centered Future
Sessions at Therapy for Moms are designed to be more than “just therapy.” They are a blend of reflection, practical tools, and authentic connection — always meeting women exactly where they are.
Her vision for Colorado includes building bridges with OB-GYNs, pediatricians, doulas, and community organizations, expanding access to care while cultivating a sense of belonging. “Community is central,” she emphasizes. “The most authentic healing happens when people feel safe, seen, and supported.”
Staying True While Growing Westward
Expansion has come naturally, not from pushing but from alignment. Angela describes this chapter not as expanding past Houston, but as carrying the heart of her practice into new spaces.
“When the values are clear—compassion, honesty, and presence—the setting becomes secondary,” she says. “Whether a mother sits across from me in Houston, walks into a Colorado office, or logs in virtually, the mission is the same: to help her feel whole, connected, and strong.”
As Therapy for Moms becomes Motherwell, Angela remains focused on what has always mattered most: listening, responding, and building community—one conversation, one mother, one family at a time.
